Morning Man

Have you ever wondered what the world looks like at 6am on a Sunday morning? You haven't? Really? Strange. Well I had the urge to find out. Yes I realize I'm crazy and ADD and should seek professional help but we'll address that another time. Promise. The real reason behind my madness is that I really wanted to experience morning light. I've heard wonderful things about this morning light and I just had to experience it for myself. And boy I was in for a real treat. I learned a lot that morning. The world is almost still at that hour. Very peaceful and provocatively quiet. It's a time perfect for reflection as life is just barely awakening to face a new day full of possibilities. It's invigorating and actually quite powerful. While all of that was truly moving and inspiring, I have to confess that the best part of 6am on a Sunday morning is all the hot men! Who knew gorgeous male models roam the streets at this hour just begging for a photographer to capture them in this magical morning light?!? They're out there. Trust me on this. So, in the words of someone far wiser than I... waste not, want not! (I apologize in advance to any male readers I might have) I have a feeling I'll be dragging my butt out of bed at this god forsaken hour again. Can you blame me?? Thank you morning light man! Femme Sexy - Erica

Have I mentioned that I have the most amazing friends in the world yet? Well I most certainly do! Sometimes I have to stop, take a breath, and take a step back because I really don't know what I did in life to be surrounded with such great people. I feel so lucky. So lucky.

A few months ago one of my best friends came to me and asked if I would be interested in shooting boudoir pictures for her. She wanted to give them as a gift to her fiance on their wedding day. Uh, excuse me? Did I hear you correctly? Are you really entrusting me with this? Well she wasn't joking. She really wanted me to photograph her! Of course I was beyond thrilled that she trusted me enough to capture her femme sexy!!! I have to say that these are my favorite types of pictures to take. I think women are so beautiful and so strong, it would definitely be my honor to do this for her. I immediately began stalking other photographer's blogs for ideas....costumes, positions, lighting...so much to think about. I was so nervous...I had to get this right! I would come home from work (during the days leading up to our shoot) and practice shooting in different lights (thank you Sage for being my practice model), play with my camera, caress it and love it so it would give me ultra femme sexy pictures. We had to build a bond I tell you. And boy did it pay off.

On one hot summer Saturday, Erica rocked my camera and I was lucky enough to capture it. I feared, at first, that it might be a little awkward to be prancing around in lingerie making fierce faces at me, so we started with a glass of champagne -- but oh no, this girl didn't need it. She was sizzling! From the first shot, to the last, Erica oozed sexy, wow. I'm still in awe of this hot little chick-a-dee! A little over 4 hours and 600 pictures later we called it a day, but what a day it was! Erica married her sweetie last Saturday and surprised her new hubby with this gift and from what I gather it was a hit! ::wink wink::
